The hotel offers a pleasant view of the beach. the beds are exceptionally comfortable. the rooms are equipped with a fridge, sitting area, and work desk. the location is great, being very close to local restaurants and businesses within walking distance.

The hotel was located so close to the beach as well as the theater. I loved that the suite included a handy kitchenette.

Horrible smell throughout the hotel. Rugs dirty and furniture old and undesirable. Staff was uncaring and not friendly. Worst hotel I have ever booked a room at. It was so bad we refused to honor our reservation and cancelled with the front desk the same night we arrived!

The hotel was a great place for enjoying a great area, near to basically walking distance, the beach and the theater. There were exceptionally comfortable beds and a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a microwave oven and a fridge in the standard queen room.

The balcony was sooo small, we had a side view of the ocean. Also there was no microwave in the room, and we weren't able to order pay per view movies

Padre South was an excellent choice for family travel right on the beach for a family on a budget. They offered clean kitchenettes with good views of the ocean in each room. The location is right by a cvs and shopping venues. Coffee, screen tv, couches, pool tables, vending machines are down stairs for your enjoyment. The pool, hot tub, deck and chairs were all in good condition and clean. Staff were responsive and helpful in meeting customers requests.

The first room we were given was in poor shape. The patio door did not open, there was no hot water and something was wrong with the humidity in the room. So much so, the floor was constantly wet, the towels were damp etc. We asked to change rooms and were accomodated. The second room was much better. The hotel is very dated and looks older. The beds and sofa beds are not very comfortable. The hallways may smell around meal times because each room may be cooking a different type of meal in their rooms. The combination of smells at times was overpowering

The hotel provides spacious rooms and bathrooms with tubs, offering a very nice experience. The location of the hotel is amazing, right in South Padre Island within walking distance to restaurants, businesses, and attractions.

The location can't be beat. Great to see they replaced all 3 elevators

The pools were filthy and we were there for 5 days. The female desk clerks leave alot to be desired, as their attitudes were very poor.

It was close to the beach

The bathroom was still dirty, it had hair in the tub and the toilet paper roll only had about 4 squares left on it but they still took the time to fold the first square nicely. The floor felt sandy as if it hadnt been cleaned from the previous people. The pull out bed mattress was very uncomfortable and it felt like you were sleeping on broken springs.
